Betbazar about the consumers of tomorrow

Consumer trends are changing and companies now have just seconds to grab a customer’s attention before they move on. As a result, products have to change to meet the “deficit in attention” that players have, according to Betbazar’s CEO, Alex Iaroshenko.

Speaking to Jessie Sale, Senior Journalist for SBC News, he explained that it is important to produce games with a “very low learning curve” to meet the changing trends of consumer behaviour in which people are “very fast in how they communicate and consume information.”

During the interview, filmed at SBC Summit Lisbon, Iaroshenko also addressed the growing use of AI in the gaming industry.

He said: “AI of course is a big thing, everyone is now talking about AI and trying to use it. But, let us remember, it’s just an instrument that we can use and some use it for good while some use it just to use it.

“We try to build products around it which I think will be quite promising and for operators, I think it will be a good opportunity to get more data and understand how things work. Generally, it is a useful tool but I don’t think it is a game changer.”

Max Sevostianov, COO of Betbazar, was also present for the interview and he was more confident in the potential of AI, especially in the esports sector, as he explained that he believes that AI can “dramatically improve” the sector.

Additionally, Sevostianov offered his advice to operators who are planning to add esports to their roster of products

He said: “When you choose a provider of esports, you have to be sure that they have experience in trading esports and that they’re using reliable and official data to provide you with odds.

“In addition to the official data, you have to have experience in this and mathematical models, good risk management and understanding of the games, players and also have statistical data that you can use to provide a quality product.”

Earlier this year, Betbazar enhanced its sports betting portfolio through the integration of SIS’ horse racing and greyhound racing products into its platform.

On the partnership, Sevostianov explained that it provides “additional value for customers” and also gives smaller operators the chance to get data feeds with “reliable horse racing data”.
