BETBAZAR CEO Alex Iaroshenko set down with iNTERGAMINGi magazine and talks about key trends for 2025, ecricket AI-tournaments, live data feed and company's future ambitions.

What are the key trends you expect to dominate the sports betting sector in 2025 and why?

When it comes to sports betting, we’ve already reached a point where no matter what event you’re covering, you need to be able to supply real time statistics from official data providers. This is such a crucial point within the sector that if you’re not able to tick this off as an absolute minimum requirement, I think it’s basically impossible for your product to remain competitive. 

As in-play markets are growing in popularity – and will almost certainly continue to do so throughout 2025 – this real-time information effectively forms the cornerstone of the live betting experience and empowers customers to make more informed decisions. This in turn enables operators to provide a more enjoyable user experience that can be further enhanced by the addition of custom-designed graphs and widgets.

Another key trend I expect to see is greater adoption of AI technology. Given sports betting is a mature vertical that generates mountains of data every day, there’s already a wealth of information that can be plugged into an AI system to help operators tailor markets and relevant statistics to customers on a case-by-case basis.

What has your company learned from its work within the sports betting landscape in 2024, and what lessons are you taking into 2025?

I’d say BETBAZAR’s main takeaway has been that providing an engaging user experience is absolutely key. In terms of available markets, most operators have a relatively similar offering, so the difference between a successful sportsbook and one that isn’t fully realising its potential is how these markets are being packaged and sold to customers.

The addition of things like live streaming, detailed statistical hubs and custom widgets can all help a sportsbook’s offering stand out from the competition – and as I outlined earlier, all of this needs to be backed up by reliable, real-time information from official data providers to engender trust and improve the overall betting experience for users.

I believe through our Sportsbook Data Feed, Betbazar already provides a service that’s capable of delivering on all of these requirements, but for sure we’ll be looking for other ways to enhance our offering in 2025, whether that be through teaming up with new partners that offer innovative solutions or working on our own in-house product.

Could you explain your ecricket AI tournaments and how this exclusive offering from Betbazar will enhance the sports betting sector? How will you showcase ecricket AI tournaments at ICE, having debuted them at SBC Lisbon?

Betbazar’s ecricket tournaments really showcase what a powerful tool AI can be for the iGaming industry. Offering fun, fast-paced competitions that are available 24/7 and exist outside of the confines of the traditional sporting calendar, they provide a great way for sportsbooks to plug any gaps in their schedule and effectively offer customers what is an always-on gaming experience.

The shorter game cycles create more frequent betting opportunities and drive greater betting volume, while the fact they aren’t tied to real world logistics mean that the margins are stable and revenue streams are predictable. Additionally, they offer more potential for experimentation than real-world sports, as operators can simply alter the rules or format to see how players respond and update their product accordingly.

At ICE, visitors will be able to stop by the Betbazar stand and see a full demonstration of ecricket tournaments in action. With AI technology helping to enhance the graphics and realism of each match and dynamic elements such as live commentary and in-play stats adding to the experience, I expect they’ll be blown away by what they see!

Could you explain Betbazar’s Data Feed and the new features the company is adding to it (including Indian package)? What benefits will these new features offer Betbazar and its clients? How do you plan to showcase the Data Feed at ICE?

The Sportsbook Data Feed is one of the headline products in the Betbazar portfolio and offers unprecedented coverage of 51,000+ pre-match markets and 71,000+ live events. Accessible via a simple to integrate API, adding the feed requires no downtime on the part of the operator and instantly gives them access to real-time odds, scores and statistics that can massively boost customer engagement.

Although already a fantastic product in its own right, we recently enhanced the feed with an additional package designed specifically for operators targeting Indian audiences. Could you give us an update on the other sportsbook solutions and products Betbazar offers, and how its marketplace will be improved for clients in 2025?

Essentially, we just want to build on the strong foundations we’ve already laid for our business by continuing to promote the Betbazar brand to a wider audience in new global markets. As a B2B worldwide iGaming marketplace that offers solutions way beyond the standard sports betting and slot/casino content, we are already very different from traditional aggregators - so the next step is simply to tell future partners what we do and the value of our expertise.

As you’ll no doubt have seen, having a visible presence at events like ICE has formed a large part of our strategy this year and will continue to do so in 2025, as this gives us the opportunity to showcase our innovative products and build important face-to-face relationships with regional suppliers and operators. This is particularly important in emerging markets like LatAm, so we expect to be very busy on that front next year!

Of course, we will also continue to look for new partners who we believe can add something unique to the Betbazar marketplace, as finding creative solutions to market needs remains a fundamental part of our overall growth strategy.
